welcome
The Friends of the Fields Corner Branch of the Boston Public Library are a volunteer group committed to supporting and strengthening the library in our community.
Our mission is to create public support for the Fields Corner Branch and its programs, to increase community awareness and use of the library, to aid in public education, and to raise funds for equipment and projects in support of these aims.
Throughout the year, we sponsor activities, collaborating with local businesses and neighborhood organizations. We are grateful to the CityWide Friends of the Boston Public Library for their financial support of our programs.
Minutes from past meetings are posted regularly.
Renovation of the Fields Corner Library
The Fields Corner branch of the Boston Public Library is getting a long overdue renovation, which is wonderful news. The plan is to build a two-story library, with modern facilities, on the same location. Construction is expected to begin in early 2024.Â
Information about the renovation process and how to share your opinion is available on the Renovation page and at the BPL Project page.
